Vertebroplasty

Vertebroplasty is a treatment that involves injecting cement into a cracked or broken bone in the spine to relieve pain. The bones of the spine are called vertebrae. Vertebroplasty is commonly used to treat what is known as a compression fracture. These injuries are usually caused by osteoporosis, a disease that weakens the bones.
